• CappMail allows students to anonymously connect with designated resources via email routed through our servers.
• It can be difficult for survivors of sexual violence to share their experience with someone they hardly know. CappMail is another way for survivors to ask questions and get advice.
• Preserving anonymity ensures that survivors are in control. And when survivors feel in control, research has shown, they are more likely to seek help.
• Anonymity also creates additional opportunity to build trust, and when a survivor trusts a resource, they are more likely to come out of the shadows and benefit from the services offered.
